Elevate + Google
Google have chosen Elevate (aka Jack), designed John Walsh for the recent re-design of their London Headquarters. 320 Elevate workstations have been installed as part of the project, with much of the interior designed around the product.

Elevate workstations have a patented height adjustable mechanism which will allow Google employees to easily adjust the height of their worksurface to the most ergonomically suitable position.

Elevate is manufactured by Italian company GGA, and has been a recipient of a number of Design Awards.

John Walsh wins the Triflow Future Talents Tap Design Competition.
John’s design was shortlisted with 4 others from over 80 entries, by the judging panel of renowned British architect Zaha Hadid and her Associate Saffet Bekiroglu, celebrated interior designer and architect David Collins, Editor-in-Chief of Wallpaper Magazine Tony Chambers, Editor-in-Chief of Dezeen.com Marcus Fairs and design writer and consultant Caroline Roux. The design was subsequently voted winner by public voting held over the four days at 100% Design, London.

John's design will go into production and he will receive a £1,500 prize and royalties.

8 years of 80:80

Eight years on and 80:80, Designed by John Walsh for Tangent Furniture is still going strong. Since 2002 about 20,000 80:80 desks have been installed clients such as British Telecom, Microsoft, O2, the BBC, Lloyds TSB, British Airways, Tesco, Lastminute.com, M&C Saatchi, GlaxoSmithKline and many more

Made at 100% Design
Made exhibited at 100% design London, showing Form, our office desking and storage system designed for Tangent Furniture, TIE designed by Peter Mac Cann for Innermost, along with two prototype products; ONE, an LED table lamp and seating range SIDE designed for The Sofa Factory.


TIE wins Lighting award at the V&A

The TIE pendant by Peter Mac Cann was awarded best lighting product 2009 at Homes and Gardens Classic design awards, at the event held at theV&A museum in London.

TIE was selected as winner, by a judging panel made up of design professionals, journalists and critics, from an initial shortlist of 6 products and ahead of runners-up Ron Arad and Ross Lovegrove.

TIE as described by the judges "The idea appears simple : two metal cylinders of roll-formed aluminium, one inside the other- However, in execution it is more complex, consisting of sections that seem to have been cut away and a shape that alters dramatically as you move around it"

11/2008 Jack wins at the FX Design Awards
Jack (aka LinneaPlus), designed by John Walsh, scooped a coveted FX International Interior Design Award, fending off competition from the likes of Vitra, Herman Miller and Haworth. At an awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, Jack won the workplace systems furniture category, with other Made product Form a finalist.
